Life’s Soundtrack:Curing the Blahs!

So this evening when I came home from work I wasn’t in a good or bad mood just kinda’ blah! I had to go to Target to get something for dinner, so I turned to my music to help improve my mood! First came one of my favorite all time albums Aztec-Two Step’s self title debut album and the first three tracks, “Baking”, “Killing Me” and “The Persecution and Restoration of Dean Moriarty”

Here’s Aztec Two-Step performing the song almost 40 years later!

Next came some tracks from Livingston Taylor including “Packet of Good Times” which always raise my mood. Then there’s Jerry Jeff and the opening tracks from the album Navajo Rug
,

Here’s Jerry Jeff with the title track – Ian Tyson’s “Navajo Rug”

I followed these with some tracks from Leon Russell doing Hank Wilson. Now as I looked for some of those tracks on youtube I came across this one, which would have probably been the next track I listened to New Grass Revival’s “Can’t Stop Now” and I feel a lot better now! So it’s back to the store and then I’ll dive farther into Jefferson Bass’ new novel Bone Yard which may elevate my mood even further! So what songs elevate your mood??
