Think Progress: Pat Garofalo:Cantor Cites S&P In Anti-Tax Screed, Ignores S&P’s Blasting Of Republican Tax Policy
Spinning like this really pisses me off!
Think Progress: Alex Seitz-Wald: Republicans To Oppose Tax Cut For Working People
as does this tax cuts are good for the wealthy but those common folks not so much!
Truthdig: E.J. Dionne, Jr.:How Obama Can Save His Presidency
E.J Dionne kinda echoes what Bernie Sanders said recently – Obama has to come up with a plan to do those things required to get things moving and then when the Republicans block it the voters will see who’s on their side!
Now to some music!
Like The Hillbenders, I put the The Wilders self-titled album on the iPod a while ago and when this song “She Says I Say” came up on a random shuffle today I gave the complete album a listen!
The Wilders hail from Kansas City Missouri and the four member band is composed of Ike Sheldon who is the lead vocalist, guitarist and Master of Ceremonies, a highlight of the band is the fiddle of Betse Ellis; the bottom is held up by the bass of Nate Gawron and Phil Wade adds my favorite instruments alternating between dobro, mandolin, and banjo!
From their website:
In 2006, The Wilders were selected to perform at the Famous Spiegeltent at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where they were honored with the Herald Angel Award; additionally, they’ve made appearances at Merlefest, Wintergrass, Rockygrass, and Telluride festivals
Some of the highlights of the album for me included the aforementioned “She Says I Say”, “Stay with Me”, Betse’s fiddle on “Riverboat”, “No. 7” and the closing track “Riding High on Your Horse” Not that the other tracks aren’t good because they are but you know I love the instrumentals!
Now back to Back of Beyond – after some yoga!
